President Bola Tinubu has sent a message of support to the Super Falcons ahead of their second group match at the FIFA Women’s World Cup against Australia.
Tinubu said he was “immensely proud” of the Super Falcons’ performance in their opening match against Canada, and he is confident that they will continue to do Nigeria proud.
The president also acknowledged the Super Falcons’ “remarkable achievements” as a dominant force in women’s football in Africa, and he is confident that the team will continue to succeed in this tournament.
Tinubu urged the players and the coaching crew to continue exemplifying Nigeria’s spirit of determination and excellence both on and off the pitch, and he assured them of the enthusiastic support of all Nigerians.
“I believe that the Super Falcons have what it takes to go all the way in this tournament, and I am confident that they will make Nigeria proud,” Tinubu said.
